Project Management Q&A

OK finally a free place for Free advice on Project Management, Microsoft Project & Project Planning.

Its simple really, just click COMMENT and type in your questions and I will get back to you with the answer as soonest possible. It would be nice if you can register as a member as membership has its advantages (like free samples)

I would encourage you to register so as I am able to know the person" asking. Having a name is better the just Dear Annoymous

Doc, salam aidilfitri.

seek your comment on the follwg:

in ensuring the monetary appear in Msprject is EXACTLY as per submitted claim :

A. PREPARATION OF WORK PROGRAMME
1. for submission to client, whatever item without quantities or rate, put it as FIXED COST . i.e: prep report, office equipment.

2. quantities with rate (i.e: excavation, plastering etc) put it as MATERIAL QTTY x RATE. i.e: 2000m3 sand x RM20.60/m3.

3. to avoid MANPOWER/MACHINERY interuption in determining the duration, UNCHECK the EFFORT DRIVEN option.


B. TRACKING
1. try NOT to track by ENTERING percentage at %complete. %percentage should refer to somethg i.e manhour, material etc. KEY IN the material usage at RESOURCE USAGE. msproject will automatically generate the percentage value.
